Offline file recovery
I am testing offline files as a possible solution for our mobile users but i have a question; If the user has been out of the office for a week modifying their offline files and then suddenly their laptop crashes and the OS wont boot but i am able to see the file stucuture when attaching te hard disk to a USB caddy, is there a way i can pull the offline file cache off onto a new laptop and then be able to sync with the online copy? I know that the offline files are stored in the windows\CSC folder but it nearly impossible to access from inside the operating system due to ownership restrictions ( if though i am admin ) . Might be worth trying to copy the whole folder when its connected via the usb so the permissions dont load up . Let me know the results if you try it.

Hi, You may take the Ownership of the cache folder if the cache is not encrypted, then try to replace those files which have already modified. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
