Offline Files problems
Hi there, I'm having problems getting the offline files to operate on a Vista Business Laptop. I have copied all the ADMX files from a Vista Business PC to the Domain Controller into the correct location. I am then using group policy to enable Offline Files for Vista, but I never see the "Make available offline" option when I right click a file. I have offline files working for all our XP laptops and I just copied theADM settings and created newADMX Group Policy settings for this Vista laptop. However it does not seem to work. With XP it seemed offline files was enabled even if you did nothing with Group Policy. Is this not the case with Vista? What are the basicGP options that must be enabled for offline files to work with Vista? Thanks in advance, Steve.

this is a great article regarding offline file changes in vista, and might help you out. also, you should look at the share properties dialog box. there are offline settings defined here as well. http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/windowsvista/archive/2007/01/29/working-with-offline-files.aspx
