Hi Robert,
Would you please let me know how you connected to SBS server when they are out of office? Regarding the issue, it can be caused by many factors. You can refer to the
following methods to check the result.
1. Check if other computers have the same issue.
2. Go to update the network adapter driver from the manufacture's site.
3. Perform a
Clean Boot and disable security software.
4. Manually sync the offline on network. You can refer to:

Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
5. Contact the SBS forum to check the server side.

HI,
the sync does not give a error when the user is out of the office they do not connect back to the network they use the files that they have synced on there laptop. when the users comes back in to the office and power there laptop on to sync the changes
this do not sync accross as like in xp. i found this out when being shown on a desktop pc that was in the office and the laptop. the laptop had certain file chnages and new documents. but when looking at the desktop pc the documents where not there. have microsoft

Hi Robert,
The computer can sync automatically when logging on. I suspect the issue is related to your group policy. Have you set any GPO for Offline files?
Go to check
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Offline Files -> Synchronize all offline files when logging on
If the issue only occurs on the laptops, what connection it uses? Wireless or wired? Can the user access the server from the laptop when the first time connect back
to the network?
In addition, I still suggest confirming the issue with SBS networking forum.
Regards,
Niki
