Office 2010 AutoRecover Information
Hi guys, currently we are having an issue with Office 2010 where autorecover documents are blowing out the size of our users profiles. We have a 100MB limit to keep log ons and log offs fast. However when documents are worked on my users these profiles can blow out to the size of over 100MB meaning they cant log on. C:\Users\nmckay\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\ is the location these go to. This can be configured in File - Options - Save. These files are never purged from this location as per standard so blowing out the profile size and causing some issues at the moment My quesiton would be what would be the effect of disabling this? Would we loose the ability to perform autorecoveries? Also I have seen the below but dont know if this is likely to resolve our issue or not http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2470235/ Thanks Nick

Hi, You could try this method to see if it works. You should back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if the method cannot work. If this issue persists, I would like to suggest you post at the Office forum for further help, they are the best resource to help you on this issue: Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Category Good luck.
