Office 2007
Maybe some Microsoft folks can answer this for me. I am dual booting Vista and Win 7 on my main PC and would like to test Office 2007 on Win 7. I have a full license and it is installed on the Vista partition I would like to install it on the Win 7 partition also. Would this be acceptable to Microsoft? Or would it violate my license?

I think it's fine to install it one or more systems at home for personal use, but maybe somebody more knowledgeable on EULA issues can give a definitive answer.

Interesting question. First of all if you have a Student and Teacher package you can use it on 3 devices. MS defines a device as a single system or even a partition. From that it seems if you have a computer and it has 2 partitions (XP and 7 for instance) that counts as 2 devices. So if you have a single licence product and want to put it on 2 different partitions, MS sez no. On the other hand, would any software company who wants you to test their product, expect you to purchase all new software so you can provide them the service of testing their software? Bob
