Offer Remote Assistance Helpers local group NOT being created
I am setting up Remote Assitance via GPO on my domain. Computer Settings/Administrative Policies/System/Remote Assitance -- Offer Remote Assistance I set the object to Enabled and "Allow helpers to remotly control the computer" with the appropriate name/group listed. I have 2 computers in this policy: Win7 Pro 32-bit, Win7 Enterprise 64-bit. Once applied, The Win7 Enterprise machine will show the Offer Remote Assitance Helpers local group and the correct domain\user added. From the Win7 Professional PC I can launch Remote Assistance and use the 'advanced connection option for help desk" to offer assistance. It connects no problem. HOWEVER, the Win7 Professional system WILL NOT create the Offer Remote Assistance Helpers local group. I therefore cannot offer this machine assitance. ALL other objects of this GPO are being applied with no problems. Example: I disable Media Center, BOTH have MC disabled.

Just though of this while revising the post below, would this be better in an AD forum? Server 2008 R2 w/ server 2003 domain level. If I may update this thread. I have now added 4 more Windows 7 Professional systems to this GPO. 2 of them have added the Offer Remote Assistance Helpers local group, 2 of them have not. These are pre-installed machines from Lenovo. I have literally followed the same steps, in order at the same time for all machines for what I need to do. When added to the domain (at the same time, one after another) I moved all 4 machines from the Computers OU to the OU with this policy at the same time. Once again, ALL other computer objects/polices are applying. It just seems only 50% of the machines get this one object! lol.
