OU linked GPO to DISABLE (DEACTIVATE) OFFLINE Folders is not working on WIN 7 Ent but works on XP computers
Hello: I've seen several posts dating back to 2006 regarding a similar issue with Vista but no solution was ever posted. We shouldn't have to make any reg mods. Is this a BUG that has been carried into Win 7??? "Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files feature" is set to DISABLED. This is all we should need since it works on XP after a reboot. We have Redirected Folders enabled which enables Offline Folders by default but have ENABLED the "Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline" so that should turn it off. Thank you. Jkup

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums. Besides disable “Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files feature”, please also set this GPO for disable offline files: 1) Prohibit user configuration of Offline Files: Enabled 2) Sync all offline files when logging on: Disabled 3) Sync all offline files before logging off: Disabled 4) Sync offline files before suspend: Disabled 5) Remove ‘Make offline’: Enabled 6) Prevent use of Offline Files folder: Enabled Hope that helps.
