OUTLOOK CANNOT BE OPENED
Hi, I use Vista with service pack 2. Outook 2007 has been running well and suddingley I cannot open the program and this message appears :"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open Outlook window.The set of folders cannot be opened.Errorshave been detected in the file C:\Users\john watkins\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.Quit Outlook and al mail enabled applications and thn use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose andrepai errors in the File.For more information about the In box repair tool , see Help."I have tried opening Outlook every way I can think of, have tried running Scanpst but it asked which file I want repaired-andI don't know! every file I input it says its an invalid path!.I have used proprietary softaware to check registary errors.I have re installed Outlook (did not delete original?)No LUCK YET--Any ideas/solutions-------Please!

This was a while ago, I guess you may have fixed this by now! Anyhoo Click Browse to locate the .pst file. Then type the following (where it says username type your username) Windows XP: C:/\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Or if you use Vista C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook Click Start. The Inbox Repair Tool scans the file and reports whether it found any errors. Click OK.
