OBEX Bluetooth file upload on Win7 yields message in notification area
Hello there. I have a WFP app that allow users to upload mobile content to a Win7 client. This is discoverable and everything works fine if you use older phones. When I push something from my HTC Legend a message appears in the notification area ("Click here to download file....") which means that my program never gets to download the file. Is there some way that I can disable this feature in Win7 so the files that are pushed are just sent through? I am using the Microsoft Stack. Kind regards from Martin

Hi, To make this issue clear, please capture some related screenshots for us: How to capture a screenshot ========================= 1) Press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard. 2) Click the "Start" menu, type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter. 3) In the Paint program, click the "Edit" menu, click "Paste", click the "File" menu, and click "Save". 4) The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot". 5) Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click “Desktop” on the left pane and then click "Save". 6) Then Upload to SkyDrive. Meanwhile, I would like to confirm what the meaning of Microsoft Stack is. If it is possible, please try to use other HTC phones to test this issue. Hello again. The message is displayed in the Notification area. See below screenshot. The text is in Danish and just says: A Bluetooth device is trying to connect. Click here to accept this. If I click on the message I get into a pairing Wizard. The below message will only get displayed if my program is running and listening for OBEX traffic. I suppose that the Microsoft Stack is what is installed by default in Win7. I am just plugging in a USB Bluetooth dongle and then Win7 recoqnizes it. I could be that I am mixing up Bluetooth terms here. In my book the Bluetooth stack is what is installed in order to make Bluetooth available (Toshiba is another supplier, Broadcom another) Above image shows the MS Bluetooth enumerater installed The Generic Bluetooth Radio is Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd. but the driver says developed by Microsoft. I have also reproduced the behaviour with a HTC Hero but I should believe that you should be able to reproduce with any newer phone. Remember you must be discoverable, not paired and have a program listening for OBEX (OPP) connections Kind regards from Martin
