Num-Pad doesn't work

Hi,

since I installed Windows 8 on my Desktop PC, I can't get the numpad to work properly. With num-lock off everything works as it's supposed to, I can use all the keys' secondary functions, but as soon as I enable num-lock there just isn't any reaction at all.

This happens with two different keyboards, I tested both USB and PS/2 (through an adapter).

Any ideas?

Perhaps you have not install chipset and USB drivers. Without specifying your devices it is impossible to give any more reasonable advice.

I've tested some generic HP keyboard (I don't have it anymore) and a DasKeyboard. USB drivers shouldn't really be an issue if I connect it through PS/2.

Had the same problem ... don't know when and how I checked little box in Control panel -> Easy Access to engage numeric keypad for moving mouse pointer. I was searching for solution to this problem for weeks ... :).
