Notify Packet in Lync for within organization users and federated users

When I change the status of my lync user as Do Not Disturb, I can see that another user of my domain can see my presence status as Do Not Disturb, but another user outside my domain, sees my status as Busy.

Can anyone give me the notify packet of both the cases?

Why is it so? How can I get my lync giving Do Not Disturb in the Notify packet for federated domain.

That's not normal.  Even federated users should be able to see your status as Do Not Disturb.  If you change your status to available, does the outside user see the change quickly?  It sounds more likely like there's an issue you your or their Edge setup and configuration.

Hi

Yes, that's what we want to know, as to which configurations on the edge setup need to be checked for the same.

The lync server logging tool running on the edge server, shows only the notify packets going towards users from federated domains. Why doesn't it show notify packets going towards users of same domain, as they can see my presence as DND.

Thanks

If you change your status to available, does the federated user see the change quickly?  What about a user on your own domain that's on the outside of the edge?

Yes, the status immediately gets reflected. I also saw the decrypted notify packet, that came from the network, and I am sure, that it sends Busy and not DND.

Where are the xml namespaces stored on lync server, that control the format of the presence xml?

That I don't know, but I'm somewhat surprised you're not seeing DnD.  How many federated partners have you tested with?
