Nothing Will Download - Windows XP
I have a netbook running Windows XP and I cannot download anything. I'm using Internet Explorer and whenever I go download something (e.g. tried downloading MS security essentials today) but when I click the download button nothing happens. I tried using a different browser (Maxthon, I got the install file on a usb), but nothing would download with that either. I checked the firewall settings, and no problems there, and I went through the Internet Explorer options and everything was in order there too. Any ideas?1 person needs an answerI do too

What service pack do you have? You should have SP3.Could be you need installer and framework updated. Also you have to make sure you are installing the right program for the system.32 bit or x86 is for 32 bit.If you download 64 bit it will not work.Good Luck.
