Not having permission to open any .exe (yes ive tried the obvious)(virus)
Hi
I get this message 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.'
Now the thing is, i downloaded this and it is UNLOCKED, I HAVE FULL OWNERSHIP RIGHTS (yes i have confirmed this) i cannot run: installers, uninstallers, programs. I am the only user of this computer (I am of course the admin)
I know this is a virus and my virus protection finds it, deletes it but then i still dont get permission and it comes back every reboot. I have gone to msconfig and uncecked EVERY SINGLE SERVICE (including microsoft) and EVERY SINGLE START UP PROCESS. The only
time i dont get this error is if i press F8 at startup and go to safe mode with networking.
Please help as this is killing me and I can't install Microsoft Word or do any work!!
Thanks in Advance
-Daniel
Ps. I would like to fix this without re-imaging or re-installing windows

Hi! I have recently came across this problem, and I advised my client to take it to a professional to get the computer fixed. You probably got a virus that downloaded itself invisibly when you were browsing the internet, and it corrupted your files and/or
drivers. A re-install may be what you need. :(-Noah J. Buscher "Nothing is Impossible Until Proven Impossible."

Yeah it worked perfectly fine in safe mode and i could open anything. I made another user on my computer (admin account) and i still encountered the same error on all executables.

Hi
You might have tried a lot of thing. I would suggest to create a new account as an administrator. you can use
the cmd as well net user (name of the user ) / add then go to control panel>User Accounts>Manage user accounts
and chose as admin. then restart you computer in safe mode. and the try it . In case if it does not work restore the
computer to an earlier point. you may try malwarebyte as well.
Thanks & Best Regards
