Turned on my new laptop, tried to connect to my wireless router and will not connect. It says that the wireless LAN access point not found. Also purchased an internet stick which also will not connect.

Please let us know the models of the Internet sticks you have tried. We need to confirm if they are compatible with Windows 7. Can you see your wireless connection after clicking the network icon on Notification Area? If the access point sends signals properly you could see it. Also try turning the power off to the wireless router. Leaving it 10 seconds then turning it back on. Boot up your computer and see if it can see your wireless network.
