Not enough free disk space
Hello, I have succesfully created a domain for my company using 1 server (Proliant ML330) with SBS 2003 and 5 pcs with XP Professional. I am using the server as a file server ( I have created a share, gave it all the permissions, maped it as a network drive Z:and named it "data") and also as an exchange server with a global mailbox. Everything was working fine for more than a month in all pcs, users had access to the exchange and also were able to use the data file on the server to save files. My problem is that only from 1 pc i cannotsave anything to the Z:. When i right click and select properties of Z: i have only there is only 4,00KB free space, whereas i have 40GB free space on the server disk. When I tryto copy a file to the Z: then i have the follwoing message: "Cannot copy ****. There is not enough free disk space. Delete one or more files to free disk space and then try again." The problem exists only in 1 of 5 pcs on the network and started yesterday. Before that all 5 pcs were working correctly. I have checked all the permissions of the user and they are exaclty the same as all other users, which means that there should not be a problem. Can you help me with this? Thank you vazexa

Hi,You can try deleting the mapped drive on the client computer and then creating it again.

I have the same problem:On the server the network drive has 40Gb, on 2 stations it only has 1Gb and says it's full.I tried deleting and mapping it again. It mapped itself on rebooting the work station. Does anyone have any ideas on what's wrong and how I can solve this? It stops 2 people from being able to work properly here! Thank you.

is this not an issue with disk quotas? Go into My Computer on the server. Right click the physical drive that the share is on. Properties. Quotas. Quota Settings. Anyone near 100%? If so, increase their quota. A lot of people turn off quotas and I understand why, but its a good way of keeping an eye on things and stopping idiots syncing their 20gb ipods to the server......
