When I log on to my Acer laptop 5000, I am the only user account and it confirms by default that I am the administrator. However when I try to do a restore of the hard drive to improve performance becuase it is so slow, I get a ACER message fromthe Acer utlity that does restore, that I am not the administrator. I have tried to create guest accouts etc but the system never identifies me as an Administrator. How do I reset my set at low level as administrator? (Is there a flag or attribute byte I can change?) while u have started ur machine .. press f8 to get advanced start-up options. now boot into safe mode at the login screen u will find the real administrator account dis time .. get into it and do what u want to
