Not all data copied to windows.old catalogue after reinstall
Hi everyone, I reinstalled my Win 7 using "update" option, without formatting the disk. According to the displayed info my files should be copied to the windows.old catalgue. Howevere, I cannot find all the files there. E.g. from old c:/Users/username/desktop catalogue only shortcuts have been copied. Also, not all files and catalogues from c:/users/usersname/documents have been copied. There is no lack of disk space. I have no idea what happened. Is there any chance to recover these files? Copied files & folders are dated September 2010 - there are no more recent ones.

Hi, Can you see the disappeared files via showing the hidden files? 1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. 2. Click the View tab. 3. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK. Hope it helps.
