Not able to make network folder available offline... Windows 7 Pro Help!
I am having issues getting my network home directory to become available offline. I was recently using a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate and everything was working fine. I upgraded to a newer computer that is running Windows 7 Pro and I cannot figure out why it isn't working. Some information about our setup. - File server is setup with our home directories. - I mapped the network location to my local machine. - I am domain admin. - Redirected Documents library to "My Docs" in my home directory location. - When I right click My Docs in mapped network folder, Always Available Offline option is available but nothing happens when I click on it. - The Offline Files tab is not available under the properties menu of the My Docs folder. It is available on my existing computer. Anyone have any ideas on what's wrong here? Thanks for any help.

Is the "offline files" service started/enabled if you look in services.msc? Any group policies being applied that casues this? run rsop.msc to see what settings are set.Blogging about Windows for IT pros at www.theexperienceblog.com

Blogging about Windows for IT pros at www.theexperienceblog.com Yes, offline files is started and set to automatic. We only have default domain policies running, which shouldnt this machine any differently than my last one. We have 50+ users all using this setup and mine is the first one I've seen do this.

BTW, the file server running our home directories is Server 2003. I still can't figure this out. I have reverted back to my old computer for now until I can get this issue resolved.
