Not able to copy files to server
I have mapped a drive to a new Windows 2008 server. I have a Windows 7 desktop. I have a 2GB folder that I am not able to copy to the server. It starts to copy but stops. I cannot close the copy window either or cancel. I have to reboot my desktop.

2 GB is a lot of data and could take a long time to copy... Have you tried just leaving it alone for a while? -Noel

The problem was Symantec anti-virus. I found it in another thread. I have uninstalled it and I was fine. I will have to upgrade to version 11.0.7, they claim to have resolved the problem with that version. I dislike using anti-virus. It causes too many problems. I wish I did not have to use it.

Can you use an alternative antivirus? I find Avast Pro and Avast Internet Security very good and non-intrusive. -Noel

Hi b_wallace, How about copy a small size of file? Does it work? How's the connection between the client and server? Ping to have a test. Clean Boot the Windows 7 and try copy again.
