Norton uninstall

Bit of testing with Norton. Trust me it was difficult to do that with Norton. Every OS I used, uninstalling Norton cause plenty of issues. Windows 8.1 one issue.

Ok first of all I prepared my system to install Norton. First I disable security center, second I disable defender, 3rd disable firewall. Rebooted then Installed Norton, I used the classic uninstall and rebooted. I also used the Norton removal utility. Had one issue. That was a simple fix by enabling and disabling then enabling security center. My point to this post is. Many have issue with security software, or other service that use COM, Dcom objects. Simple fix is making sure your system is prepared to install a new security system.

I'm back to defender, not because Norton did not work, or cause problems, it is because Norton is one of the first AV to hit the market. It is them that developed the first virus and later say. Look here we have this software that will remove it for you, if you don't you will loose all that data.

See ya on the battlefield

I played BF4 with Norton and My ping was actually higher with Norton. 27 Ping with Norton, and 50 to 60 without. I'm going to BF4 after this post, I'll be on the IAF server, so if you want to kill me wiff your knife I'm be waiting for ya. Just type in knife fight and I'll respond with I'm ready.

Microsoft Security Essentials fails to detect more than one third of malwareWritten by on December 22, 2013 - 12:41PM

Well I just installed Norton again. I like how well the computer ran and I like the websearch awareness symbol. For me running a few hours and doing an uninstall and then a reinstall. I can tell you there is a difference with the baud rate. The keyboard works faster, mouse works smother. My pings are faster in game.
