Norton 360 Beta - unable to renew 14 day license
I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) Beta and installed Norton 360 Beta right from the start (about #4 weeks ago) and everything was running smooth. I had been able to renew the 14 day Norton 360 beta license with No problems until the latest Microsoft Update. I am Not blaming the trouble I am having with Norton 360 on the update.I am not sure what is causing the trouble. Now when I try to renew the 14 days beta license a window pops up saying that the license has been renewed but another Norton 360 beta window is frozen and the license has Not updated and the whole problem is disabled. I have uninstalled the Norton 360 beta and reinstalled it only to have the same immediate problem (locked in the registry).I am bummed because I liked how smooth Norton 360 beta worked and system clean-up and backup tools were handy.Any suggestions?Ihave installed AVG System security and it crashed my system (blue screen of death) when I installed the first AVG update so now I am just using the Free AVG antivirus.I am thinking the only way to fix the problem I am having is to rebuild the system from scratch?BTW - My iMac has been collecting dust since Ihave installedWindows 7 beta

Have you checked on the Norton beta forum? I haven't heard of this issue, but I'll check around.

I'm running the 32 bit beta and have also been running the Norton 360 beta since the start without problems and up to now no problems with renewing.Curious to see if I would have the same problem (I was at 25 days to go before mine expired again) so I tried renewing and have exactly the same symptoms. I suspect the problem ishow the web site is interacting with the application and not with win 7 but the good news is that Ihave 24 days for someone tofigure out a fix for the problem before my subscription expired.

i think currently norton is not offering norton 360 as a full suite of security software.

Go to the Norton 360 beta web site and install the new beta version that you find there (I think it's beta 3). The new program will remove the old beta before it installs. This is what I did and finding out that I could no longer update the beta copy I had.
