Nortel Contivity VPN Client 6.07.027
I installed the Nortel Contivity VPN client 6.07.027 for Vista x86 because a client is using Nortel's VPN solution (the client is still on XP, so I had to go spelunking for this on Nortel's site myself). After installing this, me and a couple of my coworkers noticed that Vista would blue screen on wakeup from Sleep or Hibernate with a BAD_POOL_CALLER error. After analyzing my crash dump file with WinDbg, it indicated that eacfilt.sys was the culprit file. I then searched for that file and found this blog post: http://www.steveglendinning.com/feed/ Apparently after installing Vista SP1, the Nortel Contivity VPN client for Vistaintroduced this bug. My question is: Has anyone else run into this and/or reported it to Nortel or know if a patch is forthcoming? I submitted this question to Nortel's technical support but as I don't have a support contract with them (rather the client does and burning time to help debug a consultant's issue probably isn't high priority for them) I thought I'd see if anyone else is having this issue. Thanks

Hi, From my experience, the Nortel manufacturer is still the best resource to get the compatible driver or a patch to fix this issue. For your convenience, Ive included the website of the Nortel contact information: http://www.nortel.com/help/contact/global/index.html Note: This response contains a reference to a third party World Wide Web site.
