Had difficulties installing Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000, finally got it to install using the install disk (works fine on our two Vista computers (HP desktop and a Dell laptop), after installing Windows Live Messenger. The microphone works fine but when launching the Lifecam app or the webcam through Yahoo Messenger I get the dreaded BSOD. This happens every time I attempt to use the webcam. Device manager reports that the webcam is working ok and there are no additional drivers available to update.Anyone seen this yet?Kind Regards, Jay.Log Name: SystemSource: Microsoft-Windows-WER-SystemErrorReportingDate: 1/14/2009 5:33:59 PMEvent ID: 1001Task Category: NoneLevel: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: WIN7-OFFICEDescription:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. Great idea, but if your talking about hardware, you might want to move it here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/threads/ : )

Mine will not respond - let alone work! The computer with Windows 7 installed doen't recognise the Canon Lide 600F installed software or the scanner.AndyRock1

I think topofall's question referred to a Canon scanner - Lide 600F - not a Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000!AndyRock1
