No %tmp% directory!?
Hi, Do you mean that the auto admin login account does not have the temp folder when first logs in? If a rebooting helps to create the temp folder, you can try to add a restart command in your unattend file and see how it works. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support

Hi folks. I have no %tmp% directory for a user when he firsts logs in. Rebooting the machine makes it work just fine after that. The C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp directory just doesn't exist. ... And no, it's not hidden. :) C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local does exist. This is the first log into a machine after it has been imaged with Win 7 Ent. The first log in is an autoadminlogin that does some PC setup work - for example installs a couple of apps. These installations fail since it tries to write the logs to the %tmp% folder. Reboot, and it works fine the second time. I can either create the folder, or modify the variables for %tmp%, but I would like to find out why it's gone. Any suggestions?

Hi Jeremy, Whilst this may be a suitable work around, this does not resolve the problem. I had already mentioned that restarting the PC gets it working, but I'm trying to find out why this is the case, and how to resolve the problem rather than work with the problem. Thanks
