I'm trying to get a 3G USB stick to work. Windows detects the modem and I can use PUTTY to interrogate the modem get its properties and even dial out. However I cannot use a dialup netowrk connection. It says modem disconnected - even though it is not. However in Phone and modem options there are no providers under the advanced tab and it doesnt store the dialling rules.
