No internet with upgrade of Vista to Windows 7
I have a MSI K8N Neo2 mobo with a nvidia nForce 3 Ultra chipset which functioned perfectly from the get-go with a clean install of Vista Ultimate. I didn't have to jump through hops to find drivers since everything was included on the disk. When I do an upgrade to Windows 7, I can't connect to the internet through the onboard ethernet. I thought I read somewhere that the Vista drivers should work with Windows 7.Does anyone have internet access usingthe K8N mobo, or a similar mobo?Wayne

When this happend to me I uncheckedInternet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) in my network settings,, restarted and everything works now.

I have intermittent lost of internet (MSI K9N Platinum) with Windows 7 64. Never had an issue with Vista 64.I am trying the suggested solution to disable TCP/IPv6 to see if this helps.

As a follow-up to my op:I was finely able to get my internet working after upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 through an old Linksys LNE100TX by using the original floppy disk that came with the card. I still can't get the onboard ethernet to work on the MSI KN8 mobo but everything else built into the board is working. So far everything seems to be working fine and Windows 7 seems to be much faster than Vista.Wayne
