No internet access on wired PC connection (yellow exclamation point, no bonjour, no firewall etc)
Hello Try the steps given below
Go to command prompt, an type
ipconfig, check what ip you are getting, if the ip
is in the same range of what you are getting on the working machine, it is good. If you are getting something like 168.254.x.x
Then on the cmd do
ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew
Ping your default gateway, if you get a reply from
the default gateway, then ping 4.2.2.2
If you get a reply from that ping
microsoft.com, if we get a reply try to open the page in IE
If that doesn't bring a page do
ipconfig/flushdns
If still not able to open the page, gave a static DNS entry and try.

So I have had this computer for almost a year. Built it about a year ago. Installed a clean copy of Windows 7 64.
Today the internet connection stopped working suddenly. The network is showing up, there is no red "x" to indicate I've been disconnected, but there is a yellow exclamation point that says "no internet access." This has never happened before, nothing has
gone wrong on this machine before. My gaming PC is connected to the internet via ethernet cable to the router.
This isn't a "unknown network" issue, I haven't seen that anywhereI don't have bonjour3 other wireless laptops in the house connect flawlesslyI have not installed anything on my machine for 3 monthsThere was a MS update today and yesterdayI tried system restore, no changeI tried taking down my firewall, no changeI tried MSCONFIG and turning my connection on and off, no change
Someone help please!

Hi,
The yellow exclamation could be caused by following cause:
1. No network connect are available.
2. System corrupted.
3. Virus.
4. NCSI feature.(Here are some information about NCSI)
Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) is a feature since new Windows Vista.
It is designed to be responsive to network conditions, so it examines the connectivity of a network in a variety of ways. One test failed, NCSI may report a error, even if the networking actually can be accessed fully.
For example, NCSI tests connectivity by trying to connect to
http://www.msftncsi.com, a simple Web site that exists only to support the functionality of NCSI. Please try to manually visit the following website, you should see Microsoft NCSI.
http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt
For more information about NCSI, you can refer to the following article:
Appendix K: Network Connectivity Status Indicator and Resulting Internet Communication in Windows Vista
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766017.aspx
Regarding the issue, please use ipconfig -all to export the IP configuration and post the result. I would check this and try to find some clues about this problem.
If you have further question about this issue, please dont hesitate and let me know.
Hope that helps

I had the same problem as yours. I had XP before. Two(02) user accounts. 1. Automatic Guest login at startup and 2. a password protected ADMIN account and got no prob. But when I changed to Win7, I had this said exclamation point said that I have no internet
access. I had to go to ADMIN account, disable then enable back the Realtek Ethernet Controller in the Device Manager, log-off and back to Guest. Exclamation point will gone and internet back to normal. Do repeatedly everytime I restart. Thanks to
Bluto1058,
I realized I had McAffe installed. So I uninstalled it
that solved my problem.
