No internet access on Windows7 even though im connected through a dial-up connecion
I have installed Windows 7 ultimate today and this is my problem I'm connected to the internet through a dial-up connection and fully able to surf the web but windows keep telling me there is no internet access when i try to access windows help or updates and when i tried to download windows live essentials 2011 wlsetup-web.exe was downloaded successfully but when i run it the error message tells me i have no internet access "error: 0x80070057" PLEASE HELP!!!

This issue can be caused by any incorrect Default Gateway configurations. You may enter “route print” in command line and check if there is any incorrect default routes. In many cases we can see a record which define the “ONLINK” as default gateway. The real default gateway should be the server of your ISP. Please remove the incorrect default routes with command lines. For example. route delete –p 0.0.0.0 ON-LINKPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
