No internet acces
Ihave a problem with my internet connection, I use Windows 7 RC (7100). I connect to the internet over LAN and I have yellow triangle in the connection icon in tray. If I put the cursor over it, I can read: "Network No internet access".If I restart the PC in safe mod the internet work fine. What is the problem.

it could be a DNS issue, the configured Dns might not be responding or it could be ISP problem...Try to set up a public DNS server and try to connectHope this helpsRegards,RR

Are you at home or in an office/corporate setting? If at home what is your router (assuming one is in use...) set as? Total DHCP or locked down/hard code IP addresses? I define/hard code all my IP settings on ALL PCs (XP, 2000, Vista, W7, even a MAC we won't get into the MAC....) as well as my DNS entries and am okay. Do you run DHCP for all other PCs? Curious.

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum. Since Internet works in Safe Mode, I am wondering if any third party program running at the Startup blocks the connection with Internet. I recommend that you perform a Clean Boot to enter in Normal Mode and see if Internet is fine. Moreover, it can be related to Windows Firewall settings too, please make sure that you dont have any Windows Firewall settings blocking computer to obtain IP address automatically. To identify whether my consideration is correct, you can temporarily disable Windows Firewall and set to automatically obtain IP address in properties of TCP/IP Protocol. By the way, have you run Network diagnostic? What is the result of it? Please respond back and let us know more information. Thanks. Best Regards. Dale Qiao

Hi Ram666Could you verify under device manager>net adapter that the lan is working and ensure that the drivers are install properly?

I doubt you can install vista drivers on win 7 for the network adapter. Infact if i'm not wrong win 7 should detect the onboard lan during the installation of win 7 and assign a driver by default or elserun windows update(only xp need to install the lan driver from cd) tell you what, uninstall the lan drivers, reboot and run windows update
