So here's the problem: I installed WIndows 7 RC, (luckily, I did so in dual boot config so i can still post this), and the first thing I usually do when installing an OS, is to install my network card (an sweex LW057 Wireless Card). Windows 7 Device manager classified my network card as an unknown device at first, so I inserted my manufacturer's cd-rom, and tried to install drivers. I need to mention here that these drivers are for win98, xp and xp 64bit, but with some workarounds they even worked on linux, so that shouldn't be the problem. It was a problem though, because windows told me it could not verify the driver. So I restarted, and looked for the Vista drivers of my network card, because I thought they should be closer to the Win7 architecture. The sweex site stated the followinig: http://www.sweex.nl/documents/LW057/1/LW057_driv_vista.htm: Drivers are included with vista. So now I wonder: why haven't they included it in windows 7?? Also, filing bug reports or requests via windows 7 obiously didn't work, as I don't have any internet connectivity right now. Can someone please either provide me a solution or send this post to the Windows 7 developers?

You need to go to device manager. Check the unknown ethernet device. Than you click at the top that thingy with green arrow. So you can install new drivers for it. Insert your sweex cd in the pc. Click close at the autorun Than go back where you were, choose the 'find the driver myself'. Go find the drivers/winxp_2000 folder on the cd! Than click next. Than it will install (takes some time) And it works! Yes, you need Win XP drivers

Hi, I have the same problem. Win XP drivers didn't suite. Drivers on the home page of ths product (http://www.sweex.com/en/assortiment/internet-networking/lan-cards/LW057/drivers_firmware) work fine, but they are not digitally signed so I have to press F8 everytime I boot my machine. The correct and signed driver for this card for Vista x64 appeared on windows update about a year ago, but I cannot find the one for windows 7 x64.
