No Video on Lync 2010

For some odd reason, when creating a Lync Meeting through Outlook (between 2 people) the video is not working properly....

(setup)

I create the Lync meeting in Outlook

I sent the meeting invite to a person (in my company)

Both of us start up Lync by clicking on the hyperlink in the Outlook Calendar

The person I sent the meeting to Is able to see me.

However (here is the problem), I am not able to see them.

In my Lync window, I only see myself (once in the larger section, and again in the small window)

Ive tested this a few different ways and it seems the person that sends the meeting is not able to see the person (video) of who they sent the invite to.

Any IDEAS??

Hi,

Did the issue only happen for the special user or for multiple users?

Please double check if there is any per-user conference policy which disable the function of AllowIPVideo and EnableP2PVideo. If yes, enable the policy for the user and then test the issue again.

The issue happens for more than 1 person.

Also, I have seen with some people, when they go to join a meeting, their video button is disabled, I verified the camera works just fine.

There is not any policy to disable video

Is the person you are meeting with external to the company or outside the network when they join? Does it work if both parties are on the same network?

Maybe there is an issue with your Edge server config or Firewall.
