No Network after Hyper V Switch setup

So i recently started using Hyper-V (as it's preinstalled), but have already encountered a problem.

For the Guest Systems to get Network access I set up a virtual switch (Internal - no need for internet).

One works fine, the other (Linux) doesn't get an ip (no response from dhcp) and some programs on the host can't access the internet anymore.

On the host Browsers work fine but programs (like Steam) can't connect to the internet unless I remove the virtual network switch from hyper-v and reboot. (deactivating doesn't help) Im 100% sure that it's the switch causing this behavior, because every time i remove it, it starts working again.

Is there any solution to that problem? Because I can't configure and delete the network switches every time i want to use the vm.

Hi,

I have to admit that it is odd issue since you mentioned that browser works, I dont think it is configuration problem if your host still has internet connection.

Please update your network adapter driver and disable your firewall, Anti-Spyware for good measure. If it doesnt fix your issue try to disable/re-enable based network adapter and Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter.

If it is possible, also try giving your virtual machine External network with Allow management operating system to share this network adapter unchecked, so it wont get internet connection. then check this issue again.
