No Network Connection on Belkin Wireless Adapter F5D8053c v3
For this problem I have also contacted Belkin to see if there is an obscure driver problem, but I am also hoping there is a hotfix lurking somewhere for this caseI have aBelkin F5D8053c wireless adapter that I am trying to use with the Windows 7 RC.Problem is when I try to install drivers, it comes tothe point where the installation process asks me to put the adpater into the USB slot, and the proceeds with the installation process. The installation is faster than it should be, and tells me that it has been completed.Howeverwhen I click finish on the driver installation program, a speech bubble along the taskbar tells me the drivers haven't been installed properly.Surely I have tried to connect to any networks, but my adapter doesn't detect any (Though when the computer had Vista, it worked fine, and also works fine on my XP laptop)The driver CD has drivers for: If I install to C:\Program Files(x86)\Belkin I get one folder labelled WinXPBut if I install to C:\Program Files\Belkin I get four folders; WinXP, WinXPx64, Vistax86 and Vista x64The drivers I used where v3 but I had tried v5 too.Any ideas

Try this, uninstall your adapter then just plug it in. When your computer installs it it will tell you that it cant find drivers for it. Then go to your device manager and click on your adapter ( should NOT be in "network adapters" ) right click and slect update driver, next click on browse my computer for driver software.Type in the the folder that you created in C: with your disk ( or the driver that you downloaded from Belkin) , click next. This is how i got mine to work. BUT WAIT!!! If you have trouble with you internet cutting out or going off after a little while do this 1.Go there Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings (you can paste this in win explorer)2. Then click change advanced power settings3. Disable USB selective suspend This drove me to the edge trying to get this fixedGOOD LUCK!!!

Hi, Thanks Ilovebheng, your method works fine for me too and my wifi usb adapter is a Belkin F5D7050 I've just disabled the USB selective suspend because sometimes when Windows 7 "wake up", i have to unplug and plug the USB adapter to make it works. So i will see if these news parameters will repair this... Windows 7 RC
