No EFS Certificate Backup?
Hello,EFS Certificates are, well, like Greek to me. However, I was recently doing something on my computer that caught my attention:I was doing a routine backup of some of the computers in my home (three, all running Windows 7). However, I noticed that ONE computer notified me that EFS ceritificates would not be included in the backup. Two other computer didn't mention anything of the sort. This question probably (hopefully) has a very simple answer, so I'm hoping someone could tell me why this message appeared on one computer, but not the others

Did you encrypt files with EFS on all three systems? An EFS certificate is automatically generated the first time you encrypt a file using EFS. So when you have not used EFS on a system, there is no EFS certificate to backup. This might explain the message.Ray

This happened to me today on Windows 7 Ultimate. Never got the message before, and as far as I know, I don't use encryption. Wish I could clear the flag in the Action Center.
