Newbie question.
I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit installed. I plan to upgrade to Windows 7 to do a test. How can I roolback to Vista if I decide to do so? Also once Windows 7 is installed, can I do a backup and then use it on a Vista clean install on another hard drive? I just want to use my Windows 7 settings and installed programs on the fresh Vista installation. Can I do that? Please answer as soon as you can. Thanks.

Wait until Windows 7 is released in the final version and then purchase and perform an upgrade. Otherwise, installing the Windows 7 RC1 nowwill eventuallyrequire reformatting your hard drive, reinstalling Windows Vista, then upgrading to the released version of Windows 7.Carey Frisch

The Hermit 1971, I'm so glad to hear that you're considering Windows 7 as your main OS. I personally dual boot with Vista and Windows 7 and have no problem. I am a bit unclear of the specific question at hand. I would need a bit more information to give you a clear, consice answer. The best site for all the up to date news on the product is found at the Windows 7 support forum, at micorsoft.com/springboard. The site will also give you all sorts of useful information, such as the whats new in the RC feed.or you can alsouse talkingaboutwindows.com as an additional resourceThanks, v-glferg@microsoft.com
