New Windows 7 machine will not load user profile - loads with a temporary profile
I am having an issue with a new Windows 7 computer where each time that I try logging in under the user's account a temporary profile is used instead of the user's own profile. I've tried deleting the computer from the domain and re-adding it with no success. I have been in touch with some other technical support from my company and they are not sure how to resolve this issue either. I have tried using the wizard to join to the domain, but have had no luck. Everytime I try logging in with that user's account I get a temporary profile. I also tried to create a new user account, but that did not work either. Anybody have any ideas on how to get this resolved? I'm extremely frustrated as I've been working on this issue now for two days and have no clue as to why this is happening. Greg Martin

Hi, According the issue, I just wonder that whether you can find your users profile in C:\users\ If the issue exists, this problem should be caused by the corrupted user profile, you could to fix your profile as following: Fix a corrupted user profile If not, this problem may be caused by corrupted registry, since you said “each time” you try logging in.Please take the following steps to troubleshot this issue: Notice: please backup your registry before modify! 1. Click Start button, type regedit in Search bar. 2. Move to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList 3. Delete the effected profile's subfolder Hope that helps Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
