I just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. When I open various wndows or get a message, the window grows its way open, then shrinks it way down. It sorta makes me seasick, besides being distracting from my train of thought. Can I change a setting so that it just opens - pop! - and it is all there? Thanks, LoriLori Wright DataSelf BI

Sure. Click Start, then type performance in the search box. When Adjust the Appearance and performance of windows comes up, click it. In the Visual Effects tab, choose (O) Custom, then uncheck the various Animate... entries at the top to disable the animations you prefer not to see. -Noel
