Hi,
I have a Lync 2010 Enterprise server partially published. I used SQL Server 2012 as the backend database, however, I received a few errors relating to missing databases. I now understand that Lync 2010 does not support SQL Server 2012 as some features have been decommissioned in 2012 and that SQL Server 2008 R2 is supported.
My topology has errors relating to the missing databases. Nonetheless, the SQL store defined is that of a 2012 SQL server.
My question is: Can I delete the SQL store (SQL 2012) and create a new one pointing to a supported-database (SQL 2008 R2)? Or do I need to uninstall Lync, remove it from my environment completely?
I find myself in a situation where I have defined an unsupported SQL server in my topology and need to replace it with 2008 R2.
Lync is not yet in production, so I am safe to reconfigure it.
Can anyone confirm if I am able to simply define a new SQL store, to 2008 R2?
Regards,
Christian
