New Computer drops wireless connection every 5-10 minutes
Just bought a Samsung QX411 about 3 weeks ago with Windows 7 (64bit) and an Intel Centrino N-6150 wireless adapter. This week my wireless connection has been sputtering out every few minutes regardless of whether I'm typing an email, leaving the computer on idle, streaming, downloading, or uploading content, or talking on Skype. The connection comes back when I reset the network adapter or wake the computer from sleep mode, but doing this 50x per day has gotten old-especially when talking to family overseas on skype. I've tried some of the other fixes mentioned in the other threads like changing the power options, resetting the router, and updating the drivers. No luck. Never had this problem with my Windows XP laptop and I would hate to have to put the new one back in the box and bring it back to Best Buy. Please help!

English is not my native language, but I will try the best i can. Search for the energy mangemant, and put it on "high performance". Let me know if this solves the problem!

Thanks for the reply, BlueCola! No improvement, I'm afraid.

Hi, Is there a cross on the Network Icon in Notification Area when the issue occurs. Also, please try to reset the winsock to see whether it makes any difference. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
