You should immediately contact the vendor for support. It's new and should not have any issues.

So, Google is the vendor where you purchased the computer? Ok, so go here and install the Asus Live Update utility. That will assist you in updating any Asus drivers or utilities that need updating. http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G74Sx&p=3&s=336 Enter Windows 7 64-bit for the OS, select the download tab, select the utilities category, select Asus Live Update. It's the last one in the Utilities section.

Hi, Please refer to above link which Nano provided, select your OS, then download the latest BIOS, chipset and VGA driver. Meanwhile, try the following KB to update some drivers. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977186 In addition, does the computer upgrade to Service Pack 1? If not, you can have a try. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5842 Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, I have find a 'solution' to this problem. One simple solution is to press the button for DVD drive to open. I know it sound ridiculous, but I have try many things to solve the freezes problem; fresh install, update drivers etc. However, updating a driver is also an excellent thing to do. I found this thread; http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?5224-Drivers-Apps-and-How-to-s&highlight=asus+g74sx, but even after updating the driver, the problem still occur, and the simple solution is just to press the button to open dvd drive. I assume after hibernation somehow the system put a lot of load to DVD drive as there is DVD to read, dunno. good luck. :D
