Never Automatically Connect to Anything Ever!
Well, the results of my searching on these forums show that I'm the odd duck. The wifi in Windows 7 is driving me bonkers. It automatically selects networks that I don't have any access to, connects me to multiple networks at the same time, and can't differentiate between networks that are close and networks far away. It's automation gone crazy! Is there a big red button (a setting) that I can use to tell Windows 7 to never automatically connect to anything. I want to turn all this wifi networking automation off and keep it off for good, for all situations. I don't want Windows to connect to a network unless I manually tell it to do it each and every time, without exception. Help!

Did you install any third party connection management? If so that should be the root cause. However if not, I suggest you boot in Clean Boot Mode and see if the issue still occurs. Perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your game or programArthur Xie - MSFT
