Networking with Windows 7 and XP
I am trying to network 2 computers on Windows 7 with my old computer operating Windows XP. I have solved all the firewall issues and now have all Windows 7 computers able to access each other. I am able to access both Windows 7 computers and the network printer from my Windows XP computer, my propblem is that I cannot access the Windows XP computer from my Windows 7 computers. The computer is visible but cannot be mapped and I recieve a network path error. I know the problem lies with the XP computer but cannot seem to get any of the other solutions that are posted here to work. Question 2 involves using a wireless ethernet bridge. In the above scenario I got to where I am after using a hardwired connection to the router but ultimatly I would like to use my ethernet bridge to access my network. Does anyone have any input on how to get that going. Thanks for any input!

I suggest you install the following update in Windows XP. Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) Responder (KB922120) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=4F01A31D-EE46-481E-BA11-37F485FA34EA&displaylang=en If it does not work, please let us know if you can access the Windows XP computer with its IP address. You may check NetBIOS over TCP/IP configuration.
