Networking multiple Windows 7 machines
I have been having a hard time trying to configure 6 computers to stay connected to the network and able to share files from one to another. I had it initialy set up on a linsys router with no issues. The router went down and we replaced it with a Cisco
WRVS4400N gateway/router. All computers are running Windows 7. I can ping to all computers and see them from all machines. The computers will connect for random ammounts of time with what seem to be no issues and all of a sudden will disconnect from each other
on the network and then disapear and i will get a Error Code: 0x80070035, all the while not loosing any internet connectivity. I have read through what seem to be hundreds of trouble shooting fourms and have made sure all ipconfigs read correct IP addresses
for the computers. I have made sure all permissions state they are able to share with other computers. All drivers are up to date on every computer. I have made sure it was not a signal issue by using inSSIDer to make sure other networks are not on the same
channel. I have even tried the Home group option but the computers will not stay visible on the network long enough to connect them, and if they do connect the first time they drop from the network i have to start all over again.

Does rebooting the router solve the issue?
As you stated it worked fine on the linksys and now not on the Cisco, it sounds like you issue.
Thing is here, linksys is the low end version of Cisco, so it should work, but you may have a faulty unit.

Rebooting the router will sometimes help for a bit. Also disconnecting from the router waiting a couple of minuets and reconnecting sometimes works. I have double checked and made sure the firmware is up to date on the router, which it wasn't and it seemed
that that was the issue, but an hour or two after rebooting it it went down again and I could see the computers still networked, but I would still get the network error stated above and it would not connect. I am going to make sure the computer is configured
to allow more than enough people on it but it is currently in use by an employee.

Based on your symptons it still sounds like a router issue to me.
I'm almost suspecting an IOS bug in the Cisco firmware that it causing promblems in the routing table or buffer not clearing.
This is because in your first post, you stated it's only happend since changing routers.
A quick google came up with these threads one of which suggests
Enabling NetBIOS or precaching
usernames & passwords in Credential Manager has helped with the error code:

Mike,
You were absolutely correct. We have a new router in transit and hopefully this one will not have any bugs or firmware issues. Thanks for all the help!
