Networking computers on my home network
I have a laptop PC running Windows XP. I recently purchased an Apple Mac Mini and Macbook. For a while I was able to 'see' the Mac Mini and Macbook from my PC in Windows Explorer - My Network Places - Entire Network - Microsoft Windows Network - Workgroup. I could copy files to and from certain folders on the Mac Mini or Macbook which had been set up for sharing. I'm not sure what I did on the PC to make this work in the first place, but now it's not working. When I try to open or explore 'Workgroup' in Windows Explorer I get the error "Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server...". I think that would be clueless me!I can 'see' shared folders/files on the PC from the Mac Mini. Also, I can see shared folders/files on the Mac Mini from a Macbook AND I can see shared folders/files on the Macbook from the Mac Mini. The problem appears to be on the PC, not on the Mac Mini or Macbook. What am I not doing (or doing wrong) on the PC? Again, this was working at one point. I don't know what I did to make it not work, and can't seem to figure it out. PLEASE HELP!2 people need an answerI do too
