Networking between Vista PC and XP Laptop
I am trying to set up a network between a Vista PC and an XP Laptop, but although I can see the XP Laptop on Vista, it doesn't seem to be working the other way around. I have connected by means of a dongle in the laptop and have been through the Wizard several times with no apparent problems but I still cannot find the Vista connection. Please can anybody give me a step-by-step guide as to what might be the problem. I should add that I am computer illiterate but after five hours of trying, I am still no further ahead. I have worked through the above mentioned information but I still cannot see my Vista files on my XP Laptop. After going through the Network Setup Wizard on the Laptop several times, I notice that the workgroup name of MSHOME refuses to change to WORKGROUP - the name on the Vista Desktop. and I presume this is the reason why I can't see the files. Please have you any suggestions as to what I can do? Regards, Skenweb
