Networking and Malware Scanners
I'm asking this question here as our system is a Win 2008 R2 networked environment with XP and WIN7 clients. Additionally, all users have roaming profiles and various folders (My Docs, App Data) are redirected through GPOs). I wonder what the implictions are for running free malware removal tools (especially interested in cautions/kudos for Malwarebytes) on clients in this kind of network environment? I am cautious as one user who runs it may have an impact on other users who log into the machine as well as implications for network accessed data. Perhaps I am paranoid? Thanks in advace for any input.
