I had the issue people are talking about, trying to network Vista and XP. In my search, I read a post where a guy advised going to "SYSTEM PROPERTIES" and observing what your workgroup name is. I found my XP to be named "MS HOME" and Vista as "WORKGROUP". I changed my XP to "WORKGROUP", and my networking issues have been solved!!!! I was unable to find the link where I got this information, (since I had to reboot after I changed the name), but the guy was really helpful. He included screen shots and everything I needed to make this work. Hope someone else finds this helpful!!!

just an add on my vista doesn't see my xp vise versa...found a link in support.microsoft..for xp to see vista but still trying to get my vista to see xp lol
