Networking Windows 7 computers wirelessly
I have 2 computers (a desktop and a laptop). Both are running Windows 7, and both connect Wirelessly using a BT homehub v2. I have no trouble using IE8 on either computer. However, neither computer 'sees' the other, and so cant even create a homegroup or a network. I have tried disabling any Firewall on each comp, but this doesn't make any difference. I would like each computer to talk to each other to share files etc. Can anyone help?

Take a look here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Setting-up-a-home-network. Or try this link http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/thread/5aff5f8d-f138-4c9a-8646-5b3a99f1cae6 Open cmd and use the ping command. 1. Open Network and Sharing Center right click on the network icon clik on wireless network connection details here you find the IP adress 10.0.0.138 and Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 for example. You can also use the ipconfig command at cmd. 2. Go to start search and type cmd 3. Type ping followed by the IP adress you want to connect. Example ping 10.0.0.138 now you'll see if you recieve packages. 4. Setup your wireless connection and give the network cards the same IP adress 10.0.0.138 and Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 The IP adress and Subnet Mask are just an example!!
