Networking Windows 7 Professional with Service Pac 1 with Mac OS X verxion 10.6.8
Hello, I am able to see my macbook pro in explorer and can access my windows files on via finder on the mac. I can not access my Mac files via explorer through "Network" I click on my MacBookPro and it times out and I get error: 0x80070035 I have disabled firewalls, setup users with same login names and passwords shared all files, been through every fix on this forum and on others: Here are some thinks I have done: Please temporary disable firewall and antivirus. If the issue still occurs, reinstall the network adapter driver. If it does not work, I suggest you check NetBIOS settings. 1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Under Network and Internet, click View network status and tasks. 3. Click Change adapter settings. 4. Right-click Local Area Connection, and then click Properties. 5. In the This connection uses the following items list, double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), click Advanced, and then click the WINS tab. 6. Click Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server, and then click OK three times. If there is no DHCP server, please just check the option “Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP”. Any ideas on a Fix this as I still get the 0x80070035 error also updated drivers on card? Thank you

Hi, Thanks for the post! Please Clean Boot the Windows 7 machine, then check if you can access the MacBook shared files. When did this issue happen? Are there any updates or changes recently? On your Windows 7 side, change the local security policy settings as following: 1. Click Start, input secpol.msc, run as administrator. 2. Navigate to Security Settings - Local Policies - Security Options 3. Double-click "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level", change the setting to: "Send LM&NTLM - use NTLMv2 session if negotiated" 4. Find "Network Security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients", uncheck the "Require 128-bit encryption" box, then click OK.
