Networking Win 7 and XP
Hi All I have a PC running XP with a printer attached. I have a new PC running Windows 7. I want to link these so that files can be shared and both PCs can access the printer. I do not want to attach the printer to the Win 7 machine. (The new PC replaces a laptop which also ran under XP so the network worked fine. I am concerned about how to create the network using two different versions of Windows.) At this point the network will be wired, not wireless. Thanks Robert

Thank you for your help. I have a couple of other issues with the new PC - when these are sorted I'll get back to the networking issue. Thanks again Robert
